Ferris Bueller and Napoleon Dynamite just had a Cinematic Baby and his name is Tim Timmerman!

I am a big fan of VidAngel’s ability to bring quality entertainment to families. While they are currently going through their legal battle to get their filtered streaming service reinstated, they have been hard at work. VidAngel Studios is distributing a new film. Tim Timmerman, Hope of America.
Tim Timmerman is a high school comedy about a Student Body President facing impeachment. This 90’s set film has the quirky humor you’d expect to find from an intermountain west town like the one from Napoleon Dynamite. It also stars a beloved student who is adored by his fellow classmates with an admiration the rivals Ferris Bueller. The premise works really well. Tim is making all the right moves to pad his resume in order get into Yale and someday become a Politician. Then one fatal mistake risks to bring it all crashing down.

While Tim, played by Eddie Perino, isn’t without his faults, he is truly a likable character. This really shines out when he meets Sydney; the Student Body President of the rival high school played by Chelsea Maidhof.

This is a great film for teens. It is rated PG-13 for a scene involving Marijuana and some bit of an odd teacher/student relationship. On their Facebook Page they address this:

The film is very anti-drug, but a character pulls out a joint and the main character takes it away from him.

The content is very on par with Napoleon Dynamite.
